Please take a look at BritLawrence's journal entry. A carefully selected compilation of deviations are featured in this journal, and together they send the central message, "you are not alone."

"I made this motivational journal with themes including fighting depression, bullying, self harm, hope, strength, and recovery. The main message of "you aren't going through this alone" is executed through music and photos that create a unique experience for the viewer. It features work from artists all over DeviantArt who have shared their struggles and recovery through photos and creations of their own." -BritLawrence

Don't you EVER give upPlease play the song while viewing this journal. I've tried my hardest to create a, well, a kind of experience for you. The music plays a crucial role in delivering that experience and a very important message. I promise you won't regret it. Just make sure the whole journal is loaded, turn on your speakers, push play, and start scrolling. The song is about 4 minutes so keep that in mind as you scroll. Please share this journal and help spread it's message!

Help and Information

Welcome, our goal is to help raise awareness for all types of abuse, please help spread awareness by joining and contributing.

Rules
If you break the rules you'll be given a warning; if you break the rules a second time you'll be suspended briefly, any further violations will result in your permanent ban.

:bulletblue: No flaming, spamming, derogatory comments.
:bulletblue: Submissions are currently unlimited, but as the size of the group increases, we may limit the number of submissions per day. If the group is flooded with submissions, particularly by one person, we will accept these submissions slowly. If your submission expires you may submit it again.
:bulletblue: We only accept art that is related to the awareness and prevention of the following causes:
:bulletpurple: Child abuse
:bulletpurple: Domestic violence of any kind
:bulletpurple: Poverty
:bulletpurple: Hunger
:bulletpurple: Self-harm
:bulletpurple: Mental health
:bulletpurple: Human trafficking

Please make sure your submission is clearly related to one or more of the above causes. Submissions that have vague meaning or appear to be unrelated will be declined. Declinations are based on content, not skill.

Note: Remember, this group is to promote awareness for a cause. Unlike other groups, submissions are not judged on talent, but on relativity to the group and on content.

If you have any links, phone numbers or information regarding these causes please comment, note the group, or note me, IntelligentZombie, thank you!

Prevention of child abuse is a cause close to my heart, as people I know and love have been affected by child abuse, including dear friends and family members. I'm researching international aid and I'll be adding links for different places as I find and research them.

If you have links to anything regarding this subject, or if you have artwork that represents it, please don't hesitate to note me, IntelligentZombie and I'll include it below. My goal is to raise awareness of the help that is available, as well as promote activism and to encourage people to read the literature regarding abuse.

This isn't just about children reaching out for help, but also for people reaching out to help children. Never think you're powerless. There's a hero inside everyone.

(If any of these links don't work, please let me know right away! :) )

As far as "Child abuse" is concerned, does this cover all ranges of abuse - Physical, mental, emotional, and sexual?

Do you accept deviations that are about rape/incest?

I am photographing a dear friend of mine, I gave her the anonymous name 'Amelia', who has been abused and given me permission to share her story. They're artistic nude photos.

It would mean a lot to me, and I'm sure to her, if I could have her story in your group once the photos are up. Would that be okay?

Sure thing. I don't see any reason why not. So, I guess just drop us a line then, 'kay?
